Filmmaker Justin McMillan took home the ‘Best Director’ award from Grimmfest Easter Horror Nights recently for his devastating rural gothic Sweet River. This unique and poignant horror movie from Australia will finally be released in select theatres and on VOD platforms beginning next week on Friday, April 23rd.
McMillan dieted Sweet River from a screenplay penned by Eddie Baroo and Marc fume. The film stars Lisa Kay, Eddie Baroo and Martin Sacks. Chris Heywood costars with Charlotte Stent, Jack Ellis, Jayden McGinlay and Genevieve Lemon. Sam Parsonson rounds out the cast with Bryan Probets, Rob Carlton and Jeremy Waters.
